Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities through effective maintenance practices. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.

- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.

- Utilize mechanical knowledge to maintain machinery and equipment in optimal working condition.

- Read and interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing problems effectively.

- Oversee facilities maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

- Engage in residential painting projects as required to maintain aesthetic appeal.

- Provide leadership and supervision to maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Skills

- Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various types of equipment.

- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.

- Experience in welding processes for metal repair and fabrication tasks.

- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.

- Background in facilities maintenance with a focus on safety compliance.

- Supervising experience is preferred for overseeing maintenance operations effectively.

- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with staff and residents.

- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and efficiency within the maintenance department.
