Civil Engineer – Dam Safety (Levels II – Principal I)
Chelan PUD is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Dam Safety team. We will consider various experience levels to join this team to support hydroelectric generation facilities, parks, hatcheries, and water/wastewater treatment systems. Whether you're just establishing your career or you're a seasoned professional, you'll be part of a collaborative team ensuring the safety, efficiency, and resilience of vital public assets. From geotechnical analysis to structural design, and from planning studies to field construction support, your work will directly impact the reliability of our clean energy and water infrastructure.

You'll develop scopes, budgets, and schedules, and contribute to feasibility studies, testing plans, and troubleshooting efforts. You may also lead consultant coordination, regulatory negotiations, and start-up commissioning. Senior-level engineers will provide mentorship, make high-stakes field decisions, and serve as technical specialists in areas such as dam safety, hydraulics, or structural engineering.
Whether you're a Civil Engineer II gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of senior staff, or a Principal Engineer providing strategic leadership and shaping internal engineering standards, your contributions will support the safe and sustainable operation of essential public infrastructure. Come build your career where your engineering expertise truly matters.
