Job Description Inventory Control Clerk

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Control Clerk to support warehouse and inventory operations at our facility. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the organization.

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for receiving and stocking incoming materials, picking and preparing orders for internal and external customers, conducting routine cycle counts, and transacting inventory within the ERP system. The successful candidate will work closely with the Supply Chain team and will also collaborate with Production and Service teams to ensure streamlined processes and accurate inventory control.

Key Responsibilities: Inventory Control:

- Perform accurate SAP inventory transactions (Goods Receipts, Issues, Transfers).

- Understand SAP’s transactions impact on the chart of accounts and inventory valuation.

- Conduct regular cycle counts and update records.

- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

- Notify the Purchasing Officer of shortages or stock risks.

- Initiate the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process for defective or incorrect items.

Order Picking & Fulfillment:

- Pick and pack inventory accurately for Production and Service orders.

- Verify part numbers, quantities, and order details to ensure accuracy.

- Support preparing shipments with correct labeling and packaging.

- Assist with strapping, wrapping, and weighing outbound shipments.

- Coordinate with Logistics for timely order dispatch.

Receiving & Stocking:

- Receive shipments and verify against purchase orders and packing slips.

- Unload, inspect, and stock materials accurately.

- Report discrepancies, shortages, or damages promptly.

- Organize and store inventory following 5S methodology.

- Ensure proper labeling and easy retrieval of all inventories.

Physical Inventory:

- Lead annual physical inventory counts.

- Support planning and execution across storage locations.

- Accurately count, record, and verify inventory.

- Help resolve discrepancies between counts and records.

- Collaborate with teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

General Warehouse Duties:

- Maintain certifications to operate MineARC® machinery safely.

- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Promote safety awareness and identify hazards proactively.

- Collaborate with teams to ensure efficient warehouse operations

- Participate in MineARC’s 5S program for continuous improvement.

- Perform general housekeeping duties and assist with other tasks or special projects as assigned.

Technical skills we require from you:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

- Minimum of 3 years of Inventory Management experience in a warehouse setting.

- Skilled at accurately counting and identifying products.

- Able to manage tasks and meet deadlines independently.

- Able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Advantageous skills you may have:

- Spanish language skills, both verbal and written.

- Experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.

- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), particularly ISO 9001:2015 standards.

- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
