As a highly skilled Sr. Reliability Engineer, you will develop reliability test plans and/or perform reliability tests to qualify LED devices in compliance with customer requirements.
- Design, assemble, qualify, and calibrate reliability test equipment used in the reliability testing of LED devices.
- Perform preliminary failure analysis of LED devices.
- Develop, deploy, and support test systems for package-level LED reliability testing to ensure quality.
- Assure tests are measured consistently and reliably through routine maintenance, monitoring, and calibration.
- Define, plan, perform, and report on LED reliability tests in response to internal and external customer requests.

- Develop detailed reports to summarize reliability data and clearly communicate findings and risks related to product reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for product failures and collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
- Analyze reliability data to predict lifetimes for Luminus products using reliability modeling software.
- Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to integrate reliability testing strategies to improve product robustness and identify failure risks during the product development cycle.
- Lead ISO-9001 and IATF-16949 audits, ensuring the reliability laboratory adheres to these quality management standards.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for outsourced testing, ensuring high standards of testing procedures and timely delivery of results.
- Oversee the daily operations of the in-house reliability laboratory, supervising reliability technicians to ensure compliance with established procedures and work instructions.
- Define test methodology compliant with industry test methods and standards such as IES LM-80, MIL STD 883, JEDEC, ISO17025, and NIST HB-150.
- Also, in compliance with various applicable industrial standards, design tests to qualify devices based on intended function and market.
- Qualify instrumentation in accordance with good industry practices and ISO9001 guidelines. Draft engineering documentation, operating procedures, and manuals.
- Write or revise existing documents under Documentation Control rules.
- Proactively look for new technologies/processes/materials and share learning with others to promote a continuous learning/improving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
- 3 years’ experience in the job or as Manufacturing Process or Thermal Test Engineer, Analyst, or Researcher required.
