Shipper/Receiver

Summary:

Wire-Bond is seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver. As Shipper/Receiver, you will utilize a sit down LPG forklift and work in the warehouse and shipping yard performing duties assigned by the Shipping Manager.

Functions and Essential Duties:

- Receives packaged finished goods and stores in warehouse racks or yard

- Verify all material received from manufacturing departments is accurate

- Prepares shipments for common carriers including packaging, affixing labels and ensures proper paperwork attached

- Receives incoming shipments and rejects damaged goods, records shortages and corresponds with appropriate party to rectify damages and shortages

- Performs regular shipping activities by loading trucks, strapping material to trucks, etc.

- Adhere to and follow company’s health and safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area

- Perform additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by management

Education and Required Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Must have at least one year of operating a sit down, LPG forklift

- Warehouse experience required, manufacturing experience a plus

- All applicants must have steady work history with a good attendance record

- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate well with management and fellow employees

- Must have the ability to read, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication to accomplish responsibilities and tasks

- Successful passing of pre-employment testing to include drug and background

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs several times during a shift

- Must be able to meet physical demands including standing for extend periods, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching, up to 8 hours a day
