SUMMARY:

This employee is responsible for ensuring the company maintains an optimal level of tank and appliance inventory.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Receiving propane tanks from districts and wholesalers, evacuating, and evaluating as needed.

- Dispensing propane, filling tanks for placement and sale.

- Reconditioning, repairing, coating, and organizing ASME and DOT cylinders and tanks.

- Recertifying 20 lb. tanks including inspection, painting, and valve replacement.

- Painting and replacing valves in ASME tanks.

- Utilizing forklift and other machinery to unload trucks and trailers.

- Coordinating with vendors for outside recertification

- Providing customer service and dispensing information as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Experience operating a forklift preferred

- Ability to obtain a gas fitters license

- CDL license preferred

- Safety focused

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in outdoors year round in all types of weather. The noise level in this environment can be loud. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, pull, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally put lift and / or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Experience operating a forklift preferred

- Ability to obtain a gas fitters license
