The Procurement Manager – IPP Business owns all sourcing, contracting, and supplier-relationship activities that underpin our generation-asset pipeline (solar, BESS, and hybrid projects). You will secure equipment, construction, and O&M services that meet strict project-finance, PPA, and tax-credit requirements while driving long-term total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) savings for the operating portfolio.
Key Responsibilities•Category & Sourcing Strategy
•Build multi-year sourcing roadmaps for major CAPEX items (PV modules, inverters, batteries, trackers, HV equipment) aligned with pipeline forecasts and COD milestones.
•Track commodity indices (lithium, polysilicon, steel), tariffs, and IRA domestic-content rules to optimize timing and structure of purchases.
•Supplier & OEM Management
•Qualify OEMs/contractors against technical specs, bankability lists, ESG criteria, and warranty reliability data.
•Negotiate framework agreements securing price locks, delivery slots, performance guarantees, and wrap-around warranties covering 20-year PPA terms.
•Contract & Risk Negotiation
•Lead commercial negotiation of turbine/BESS supply agreements, EPC subcontracts, and long-term service agreements (LTSAs), coordinating with Legal, Insurance, and Project Finance.
•Embed liquidated-damage regimes, step-in rights, and tax-credit compliance clauses (ITC, PTC) to de-risk financing.
•Project-Finance Interface
•Support term-sheet, model, and DD processes with lenders, providing cost assumptions, supplier credit data, and milestone schedules.
•Ensure procurement packages satisfy lender technical advisor (LTA) and independent engineer (IE) requirements.
•Logistics & Delivery Execution

•Track manufacturing progress, factory acceptance tests (FATs), shipments, customs clearance, and site deliveries in NetSuite.
•Source spares, consumables, and corrective-maintenance services across operating assets to meet availability KPIs and warranty obligations.
•Manage end-of-life repowering and recycling contracts for PV modules and batteries.
•Process & Continuous Improvement
•Maintain ERP data integrity; publish monthly procurement dashboards (budget vs. actual, cost-avoidance, supplier scorecards).
•Champion Lean/Six-Sigma initiatives to compress cycle times and reduce working capital tied up in inventory.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business; MBA or relevant master’s a plus.
•8+ years strategic procurement experience, with 4+ years in renewable-energy or IPP environments (utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or gas peakers).
•Proven record negotiating $50 M+ supply/EPC contracts and supporting non-recourse project financing.
•Strong grasp of PPA structures, IRA tax-credit rules, Incoterms, import tariffs, and export controls.
•ERP proficiency (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel/BI skills for cost modelling.
•Excellent negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•CPSM, CIPS, or PMP certification.
