Position: Solar Instructor

Pay Rate: $23 per hour ($47,840 annually if full-time)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Solar Instructor to train and mentor individuals in solar installation and related skills. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in solar energy, a strong understanding of photovoltaic (PV) systems, and a passion for teaching. This role involves leading classroom instruction, hands-on training, and ensuring students gain the knowledge and skills needed for careers in the solar industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach solar installation techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices.

- Provide hands-on training in solar panel mounting, electrical wiring, and system troubleshooting.

- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials based on industry standards.

- Assess students' progress through practical and written evaluations.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and NEC electrical codes.

- Support students in job placement and career development.

- Stay updated on the latest solar technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in solar installation or a related field.

- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, and electrical components.

- Teaching or training experience (preferred but not required).

- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).

- NABCEP certification (preferred but not required).

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
