The Senior Accountant is responsible for various accounting tasks, including management of cash flow, financial statements, expense approval, and bank loan documents, as well as weekly/monthly reporting of cash flow. This position reports to the Senior Accounting Manager or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position will be based out of our Irvine office, with an in-office schedule that is set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- Monitor daily cash positions and manage fund transfers to ensure all operational obligations are met on time.
- Prepare and maintain periodic cash flow projections to provide visibility into future funding needs and surpluses.
- Handle documentation for bank loans, monitor loan covenants, and serve as the point of contact for banking partners regarding daily transactions.
- Ensure the optimal balance between different bank accounts and manage the availability of funds to support various business units.
- Perform final reviews of outgoing payments and wire transfers to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and prevention of fraudulent activities.
- Oversee the employee expense reimbursement process and ensure compliance with corporate spending policies.
- Participate in timely month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all financial transactions are captured accurately.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation for various accounting transactions.
- Prepare schedules and gather supporting documents for external auditors during quarterly and annual reviews.
- Compile financial data to assist in the preparation of internal management reports and financial statement packages.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another business-related field.
- 4-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the banking industry
- Hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, ledger management, and financial closing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
- Strong and self-motivated team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- SAP Hana experience preferred
