Tig Welder Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding processes and techniques, particularly TIG welding. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

- Perform TIG welding on various materials according to specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively and safely.

- Assemble components as per design specifications while ensuring structural integrity.

- Conduct plasma cutting when necessary for material preparation.

- Operate cranes for moving heavy materials as required during the welding process.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.

- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in TIG welding; additional experience with FCAW is a plus.

- Strong skills in reading blueprints and schematics.

- Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in welding and fabrication.

- Ability to operate cranes safely in a construction site environment.

- Knowledge of soldering techniques is advantageous.

- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
