Job Summary:

A Machinist uses blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing files to produce precision metal parts. They set up different types of equipment that are controlled by computers for their work in order to accomplish goals with accuracy while also maintaining high levels of production rates. This is a full time position, Monday to Friday with some Saturday work required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.

- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.

- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.

- Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.

- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.

- Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.

- Maintains inventory of completed products.

- Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.

- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.

- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· 3 yrs + Machinist Experience

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing/stationary position

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

· Repetitive motion of arms, hands, wrists

Must be able to work occasional Saturdays or as needed

PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
