Overview:

Barton Supply is seeking a reliable and hardworking Temporary Custodian to support both our office and manufacturing facilities, as well as outdoor areas on company property. This short-term role (likely 1–3 months) is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping workspaces clean, safe, and organized across a variety of environments.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will perform general custodial duties across multiple areas, including office spaces, production areas, breakrooms, restrooms, and outdoor walkways. Responsibilities include:

Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining floors in office and warehouse areas

Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces

Emptying trash and recycling throughout the facility

Dusting, wiping surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness

Restocking supplies (soap, towels, cleaning products, etc.)

Supporting outdoor tasks such as cleaning entryways, removing debris, and keeping walkways tidy

Assisting with special cleaning projects as assigned

Following all safety guidelines and reporting hazards

What We’re Looking For

Prior custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred but not required

Ability to work safely in office, warehouse/manufacturing, and outdoor environments

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks

Strong attention to detail and willingness to help wherever needed

Positive and professional attitude

Assignment Details

Temporary role: Assignment expected to last 1–3 months

Full-time schedule; occasional overtime may be required

Start date: ASAP

Work Environment

This role involves working in diverse settings, including:

Indoor office areas

Active manufacturing and warehouse environments (noise, dust, moving equipment)

Outdoor spaces where you may encounter weather exposure

Candidates should be comfortable transitioning between these environments throughout the day.
