The Marketing Coordinator, Americas Events, will support the successful delivery of SPE’s Americas event marketing campaigns by coordinating marketing campaigns, creating engaging content and supporting marketing tactics to drive event awareness and revenue.
The Marketing Coordinator will assist with marketing activities for assigned events, including workshops, section events, and symposiums, while also supporting larger conferences such as ATCE and OTC. From email scheduling and social copywriting to website updates and on-site marketing support, the Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring SPE events are well-promoted and delivered successfully.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and creativity to produce marketing assets that align with SPE’s global brand standards.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE IN THIS ROLE
- Write compelling email copy and design email campaigns in Marketo to generate awareness and drive event registration.
- Write social media copy to promote event campaigns across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Create marketing content such as testimonials, case studies, and feature stories to promote events and highlight value.
- Create event marketing graphics in Canva using SPE’s global templates, maintaining brand consistency.
- Regularly update existing websites with content updates, SEO meta titles, and descriptions.
- Assist with marketing plans, tactics and budgets for smaller SPE events, including workshops, section events, and symposiums.
- Review marketing budgets, audience allocations, actual expenses and track spending.
- Work with design agencies in support of production and delivery of conference program collateral including signage, PowerPoint presentations, sponsorship advertisements, and exhibition brochures.
- Create and maintain Monday.com boards for event marketing campaigns to manage tasks, timelines, and approvals; cross reference all activities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Set up and manage marketing UTM tracking links to monitor the effectiveness of campaigns across digital channels and extract reports to identify areas for optimization including Google Analytics.
- Work with external vendors to manage Google Ads and paid social media campaigns, ensuring they align with event marketing objectives and deliver measurable ROI.
- Support the setup and tracking of remarketing campaigns to re-engage audiences and drive conversions.
- Assist with the preparation of post-event reports, consolidating key marketing metrics, campaign insights, and performance summaries
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or PR or a related role (combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Strong hands-on experience using Canva (or similar design tools) to create and adapt event marketing graphics within brand guidelines.
- Proficiency in Marketo (or a similar email automation tool) to build, schedule, and optimize email campaigns that drive engagement and revenue.
- Proven ability to write compelling copy for emails, social media, and event marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic SEO best practices to update and optimize event websites.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, including analyzing campaign performance and reporting insights to improve effectiveness.
- Experience using Monday.com (or similar project management platforms) to manage campaign workflows, timelines, and approvals. –
