Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This role requires a deep understanding of various networking technologies and protocols, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment. The Network Engineer will play a critical role in supporting our IT infrastructure and ensuring high availability across our systems.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage WAN and LAN networks to support organizational needs.

- Configure and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE for identity services, and Meraki devices.

- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security measures to protect network infrastructure.

- Manage IPsec VPN configurations for secure remote access.

- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG, ensuring high availability and reliability.

- Troubleshoot network issues related to routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to support IT projects.

- Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.

- Provide network support for data center operations including SAN management and virtualization technologies (VMware).

- Implement load balancing solutions to optimize resource utilization across servers.

- Administer authentication services such as LDAP and Active Directory.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.

- Strong experience with computer networking concepts and practices.

- Proficiency in operating systems including Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows environments.

- Familiarity with cloud security practices on platforms like AWS and Azure.

- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.

- Knowledge of telecommunication principles and VoIP technologies.

- Understanding of encryption methods and secure communication protocols (SSL, HTTPS).

- Ability to work with various network management tools including Splunk for monitoring and analysis.

- Experience with DevOps practices is advantageous.
