# Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Bridge Brothers is seeking a highly skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to lead welding quality control efforts and ensure compliance with AISC, AWS, and DOT standards. The CWI will oversee welding processes, perform inspections, maintain documentation, and uphold the highest levels of structural integrity and safety. This role requires deep knowledge of welding codes, inspection practices, and DOT compliance. Candidates with strong coding experience who are preparing to obtain their CWI will also be considered.
- Perform inspections of welds and fabrication processes to ensure compliance with AWS, AISC, and DOT standards.
- Verify qualifications of welders and ensure procedures are followed correctly.
- Document all inspections and maintain traceability records.
- Assist with developing and maintaining welding procedures and quality systems.
- Identify nonconformities and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Provide guidance to welders and fabricators to ensure quality standards are met.
- Work with paint inspectors and related QC roles as needed.
- Serve as a key point of accountability for welding quality within the organization.
- Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.
- Candidates with strong welding code experience who are pursuing CWI will be considered.
- 5+ years of welding, inspection, or fabrication experience in structural steel.- Knowledge of AWS D1.1, AISC standards, and DOT welding requirements.
- Strong technical background in welding codes, procedures, and inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings and welding symbols.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time
- Overtime: Available as required
- Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
