We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Technologist (EET) to join our Underground Residential Design (URD) team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of residential projects across our distribution system providing electrical service to residential customers. In this role you will contribute technical expertise to stakeholder driven projects, support the delivery of safe and reliable energy, and play an important part in ensuring our customers’ needs are met.
- As a professional member of ASET, this role is accountable to understand and follow company and industry best practices and standards to ensure projects are designed and planned in a manner that mitigates safety risks, construction risks, meets stakeholder requirements and business financial objectives.
- Produce high-quality individual contributor work.
- Review the work of other design team members and provide feedback.
- Stay current on industry and professional association best practices and developments.
- Support the Team Lead’s/Supervising Engineer’s business line responsibilities and objectives.
- Develop and maintain processes and tools.
- Manage all design aspects of assigned projects from the initiate phase, through design, construction and project closeout.
- Effectively and accurately report project status, change requests, and schedule to internal and stakeholders.
- Assemble cross function project teams to align project scope.
- Provide day-to-day support to other members of the URD team
- Manage customer requirements and effectively communicate all project related details to external customers.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technologies or Civil Engineering Technologies.
- Registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist with ASET (The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta).
- Strong verbal and written communications skills appropriate for business.
- The individual requires a Diploma in Electrical or Civil Engineering Technologies to understand the technical aspects of distribution system projects with 10 years related experience.
- Previous electrical utility design experience
- Ability to develop highly collaborative and influential relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Highly organized with the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision under demanding and changing deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in a business environment
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to evaluate options, apply sound judgement, and make clear, well-informed decisions.

Salary: Technologist Level E (Current CUPE 2025 rates)
$104,943.02 - $111,489.56 - $118,055.94 - $124,602.48 - $131,168.
Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
