We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support daily laboratory operations, perform routine tests, collect and prepare samples, and ensure the lab is clean, safe, and well-organized. The ideal candidate has basic laboratory skills, follows instructions well, and can work independently or as part of a team.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Run routine and specialized tests or experiments, following established protocols.
- Record and analyze data, interpret test results, and report them accurately.
- Maintain daily lab logs, equipment maintenance records, and quality control documentation.
- Clean, sterilize, and dispose of lab materials and biohazard waste safely.
- Order, store, and manage laboratory supplies and inventory.
- Comply with lab safety procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g., handling hazardous materials, quality assurance).
- Analytical thinking: ability to interpret data and test results.
- Continuously stay updated with technical and scientific advances relevant to the lab.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or any related field is required
- (Optional) Certification: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification from organizations like ASCP or AAB can be a plus.
- Prior lab experience (academic, clinical, research, or industrial) is very beneficial.
- Familiarity with lab information systems (LIMS) or data management tools (preferred).
- Experience with lab equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of lab safety protocols, biohazard handling.
- Ability to handle physical lab tasks: standing, lifting moderate weights, handling chemicals, etc.
- Time-management and ability to handle multiple tasks / experiments.
