The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Part-Time ITS Intern (Application Development or Project Management).
The Application Development Intern position will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Developing Technical Documentation for assigned projects
- Assisting in the maintenance of the department’s Change Management Database
The Project Management Intern position will be responsible for:
- Researching and gathering information about business systems, technologies and trends (these could be specific to our industry or otherwise).
- Maintaining and updating solution specific documentation as technology and systems evolve.
- Participating in requirements gathering and capturing user stories.
- Assisting with training end-users and creating relevant training materials. Use of videos and interactive media over documents.
- Undertaking tasks involved in the IT project management lifecycle.
- A high level of enthusiasm, integrity, accuracy, and dependability.
- Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment.
- Understanding basic software architectures – single stack, 2-tier, 3-tier, cloud, hybrid, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Canva, etc.
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming.
- Familiarity with .NET Development with emphasis in MVC (or a similar programming paradigm) using C#.
- Basic understanding of relational database management systems
This recruitment may be used to fill vacancies in various areas of the ITS Service Center.
Please Note:Part-time employment will not lead to permanent employment. Part-time hourly employees are used to fill positions normally less than twenty (20) hours per week. Part-time employees do not receive benefits.

- Must be a local student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or closely related field.
