Champagne Metals is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes pride in problem solving, developing people, and keeping high-performance machinery running safely and efficiently. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee and support a small, skilled maintenance team while staying engaged in hands-on work. You'll be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring preventative maintenance is completed, and leading troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime on critical equipment such as:
- Cut-to-length coil lines
- Slitters, saws, and hydraulic decoilers
- Overhead cranes and stretch wrap machines
- Facility systems and general building upkeep
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and personnel
- Utilize maintenance software to assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure completion of scheduled preventative maintenance (inspections, greasing, wear checks, etc.)
- Lead troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, controls and PLC's
- Support and train team members in technical skills and safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, fostering a strong safety culture
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and parts usage in maintenance software
- Partner with production leadership to minimize downtime and address recurring issues
- Assist with facility upkeep including lighting, racking installs, snow removal, and grounds care- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong working knowledge and troubleshooting ability of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, controls and PLC's
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Excellent communication and leadership skills - able to motivate and mentor a small team
- A strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large-scale metal processing equipment
