Description
Custom metal fabrication, foundry, and glass casting business specializing in high-end cast bronze furnishings and home goods seeking versatile, hard-working, committed individuals for Sand-Casting / Sand Mold Making / Foundry Position. Join a group of metal workers, artisans and designers, creating cutting-edge functional home furnishings and sculpture. Be part of a team, making molds and casting molten metal to produce the components of high-end furniture and works of art.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with teammates to make sand molds for metal casting
- Operate sand mixing equipment and foundry furnaces.
- Work as part of a metal casting team, melting metal in the furnace and casting it into molds.
- Basic woodworking
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- No foundry experience is required but is a plus. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Basic carpentry skills are a plus as the position includes some table and miter saw use.
- Punctuality, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic are a must.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and Leads/Managers to troubleshoot and meet deadlines/quality standards.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Experience with construction-type/manufacturing work is a plus.
- Familiarity with machine operation, power tools, and foundry equipment is a plus.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Environment / Working Conditions
- Some time will be spent wearing a respirator during certain operations.
- Must be comfortable with high noise levels.
- Must be comfortable using and being around industrial machinery and equipment.Salary / Benefits
