Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers. The ideal candidate will be dependable, possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
- Handle in-coming calls and foot traffic in lobby
- Create mailings and correspondence using Microsoft Word
- Prepare bills, notices, lists and reports
- Receive payments and accurate post to customer accounts
- Prepare bank deposits
- A general knowledge of the WTMA connection procedures
- Manage service orders
- Manage preparation for, and processing of, meter readings
- Manage customer account database / customer records
- Process all aspects of water and sewer billing
- Process all aspects of the office mail
- Maintain spreadsheets and other electronic documents
- All other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Business and Finance or Managing Director
- High school diploma
- Good working knowledge of basic accounting functions (some formal Accounting training or education preferred)
- Must enjoy working with the public
- Dependability is paramount
- Must be accurate, organized and attentive to detail
- Proficient with office equipment, computers, and applicable software, including MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to multitask and work under pressure
- Ability to problem solve
- Typing / Data entry skills
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with laws, ordinances, regulations, and established policies of the Authority
