Reports To: General Foreman / Superintendent
Overview:
WSG Energy Services is seeking experienced Bolting & Torquing to join our long-term maintenance team at the LNG Canada Project in Kitimat, BC. The ideal candidates will be local to the Kitimat/Terrace area or open to relocation (with company assistance).
These roles support a highly specialized scope of work focused on flange management, bolting integrity, and hydrostatic testing. If you bring strong mechanical expertise, thrive in high-performance environments, and are committed to safety and quality—we want to hear from you.
Service Lines:•Hydraulic Bolt Tensioning of Piping & Equipment Flanges
•Hydraulic Torque Tightening
•Manual Torque Tightening
•Machining of Pressure Equipment
•Hydrostatic Testing of Piping and Equipment
Responsibilities:
•Read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs for accurate installation and bolting layout
•Conduct hydraulic and manual torquing using RAD guns, Hytorc, and tensioners
•Perform flange management tasks: alignment, cleaning, tagging, gasket installation
•Execute hydrotest prep, spool installation, and blind/blank setups
•Maintain documentation of torque specs and flange records for QA/QC packages
•Collaborate with engineers, QA, and foremen to resolve field issues
•Uphold and model site safety expectations at all times
Qualifications:
•Pipefitter/Steamfitter or Millwright journeyperson preferred but technicians with demonstrated prior experience al accepted
•Minimum 2 years of bolting/torquing experience in industrial environments
•Familiarity with QA/QC, leak testing, and turnover processes
•LNG, petrochemical, or oil & gas project experience is an asset
•Confined Space Entry/Monitor
•Must be able to pass pre-access drug & alcohol testing
Working Conditions:
•Current Schedule (Long-Term): 21 days on / 7 days off
•40 hrs/week during low periods
•60+ hrs/week during turnarounds
