Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance, with experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. - Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs and residential painting as needed.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving facilities maintenance or manufacturing equipment upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Lead or support team efforts in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance, including troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Hands-on knowledge of PLC programming and operation is highly desirable.
- Skilled in welding techniques, electrical work, residential painting, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with Ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work and collaborate with team members. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks combined with strong technical skills to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our operations.
