We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Technical Trainer to join our Workforce Development team. This individual will design, update, and deliver technical training programs for both internal employees and external clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and testing, as well as a keen understanding of learning strategies and instructional design.

- Develop and Maintain Training Materials: Design, update, and maintain training curriculum, manuals, and resources in line with the latest industry standards (e.g., NETA, IEEE, NFPA 70E, OSHA).
- Deliver Training Courses: Conduct live, virtual, and on-site training sessions on topics such as electrical safety, testing procedures, commissioning, protection and control systems, and maintenance practices.
- Support Internal Development: Equip field technicians, engineers, and new hires with the knowledge and skills needed to perform effectively and safely.
- External Training Services: Provide tailored training for external clients across various industries.
- Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Use feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve content delivery and course structure.
- Stay Current: Monitor changes in codes, standards, and best practices, and integrate those changes into training content.
- Business Development Support: Assist in promoting and expanding our external training offerings; support proposals, presentations, and relationship-building efforts with potential training clients.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the electrical services industry (acceptance testing, commissioning, protection & control, or maintenance).
- Proven experience in technical training or mentoring in a professional setting.
- Strong understanding of relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and instructional skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual training tools (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.).
- Certification from NETA, NICET, or similar technical organization.
- Experience with instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
