We are currently seeking expressions of interest for an internal secondment opportunity as a Trade Waste Officer, for approximately 11 weeks starting mid-August. This role plays a key part in protecting Unitywater’s sewer network and treatment infrastructure by regulating trade waste discharges from commercial and industrial premises.
In this role, you will:
•Assist in the assessment and regulation of trade waste customers.
•Liaise with customers, plumbers and internal stakeholders regarding pre-treatment systems and discharge requirements.
•Conduct inspections and provide advice on Unitywater’s sewer admission standards and servicing guidelines.
•Maintain accurate records and contribute to system and process improvement.

Required•Trade qualifications or relevant qualifications to the position
•Knowledge of trade waste management, including pre-treatment systems, servicing requirements, sewer admission limits and specifying discharge conditions
•A valid C Class Driver’s Licence

•Knowledge of the Unitywater network and modern sewage treatment plant processes
•Ability to analyse technical information and communicate it clearly to internal and external stakeholders

•Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
