- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for mining and steel work projects

- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required

- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes

- Buy supplies for the project and all consumables

- Analyze project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses

- Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings or value engineering

- Present cost estimates to management and clients in a clear and professional manner

- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an Estimator in the steel and mining industry

- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques

- Ability to quote on Mining steel work

- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail

- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents

- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- Familiarity with project management concepts and practices
