The Merrick Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Heat Exchanger Maintenance Supervisor with a strong background in heat exchanger maintenance to support our expanding workload across all Duke Energy Nuclear Facilities. This position is ideal for a proven leader with deep knowledge of nuclear plant systems, heat exchanger maintenance/cleaning processes, and day to day field supervision. This job is for ALL DUKE ENERGY LOCATIONS (NORTH CAROLINA AND SOUTH CAROLINA)

- Lead and supervise maintenance teams and support Project Managers with daily operational and technical activities.
- Break up crews and assign qualified personnel to heat exchanger cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety protocols, industry regulations, and plant procedures.
- Oversee troubleshooting procedures involving schematics, electrical diagrams, HVAC systems, and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct detailed pre-job briefs with a strong emphasis on safety, ALARA, and procedural compliance.
- Supervise day-to-day field work, ensuring high-quality execution of heat exchanger maintenance, cleaning, or inspection tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and continuous improvement purposes.
- Review work orders, procedures, and job plans to verify accuracy and readiness.
- Coordinate with plant personnel to maintain schedule, resolve issues, and ensure smooth workflow.
- Proven management experience in industrial or manufacturing environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heat exchanger cleaning technologies and nuclear maintenance best practices.
- Duke Energy-specific qualification or site access credentials.
- Familiarity with Duke Energy computer systems for work management, training, scheduling, and documentation.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a safety-conscious work environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
