Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Welding Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have recently completed welding school, hold a welding certification, and bring 1–2 years of hands-on experience. This role is designed for someone eager to grow their skills in a real-world fabrication environment while working alongside experienced welders and fabricators.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with welding tasks using MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Support fabrication of metal components with hand tools and shop equipment
- Learn and assist with machining processes as required
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Help with material handling (including crane and forklift operations, training provided if needed)
- Practice accurate measuring and fit-up under supervision
- Take direction from lead welders and fabricators to complete projects efficiently
Experience & Qualifications:
- Welding certification from an accredited school or program
- Minimum 1–2 years of welding/fabrication experience (school and shop training may count toward this)
- Basic knowledge of MIG and TIG welding
- Familiarity with shop tools and willingness to learn machining processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to grow
