Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial management, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective cash flow management. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in both non-profit and governmental accounting environments, as well as proficiency in various accounting software systems. The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting organizational growth through sound financial planning and analysis.
- Oversee all accounting activities of the organization, including the maintenance of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Directs and coordinates company's financial affairs according to financial principles and government regulations.
- Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Directs preparation of budgets, and forecasts.
- Responsible for all insurance coverage for protection against property losses, potential liabilities and medical insurance coverage for the entire organization. Maintain relationships with insurance brokers, therefore ensuring best outcome for the organization.
- Together with HR lead the activity of reviewing and recommending changes to the company 401K plan with the provider.
- Review current practices and modify as necessary to improve performance metrics such as DSO & DPO
- Directs determination of machine rates to the costing of inventory for sale as well as advising on the quotation of both existing and new product offerings.
- Arranges for all outside audits of company accounts including Financial, Tax and 401K.
- Prepares or reviews reports required by regulatory agencies authorities.
- Monitors financial status of both customers and suppliers of the organization.
- Monitors working capital accounts to identify opportunities to maximize investments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 10 years experience management in Accounting manufacturing
- Ability to interpret complex financial data to inform strategic decisions while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
