Responsibilities include receiving, preparing, and analyzing coal samples. This involves crushing and splitting coal samples for lab work and using laboratory instrumentation. Equipment is mostly computer driven, so strong basic computer skills are desired. We work a 12 hour shift. Employee must work well alone. Good multitasking and prioritizing skills needed! We also do other analysis on air samples and occasional water samples. Documentation required every step of the way. 32 hour MSHA safety required, and will be provided by employer.'
