Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.

It incorporates shot blasting, stress relieving, fitting, welding, machining, non-destructive testing, final paint, right on through to our own logistics network, resulting in high value finished items across many diverse sectors delivered right to the customer's door.

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking 1permanent full-time (minimum of 40 - 50 hours per week) experienced Material Handler. Southwestern Manufacturing typically operates on rotating shifts of days and afternoons.

Job Description

· Ability to grind welds to instructions provided

· To assist senior staff in there day to day duties

· Basic tools will be supplied

· Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

· Comfortable in a manufacturing environment

· Forklift and overhead crane experience is required

· Able to follow work instructions and manufacturing specifications

· Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods

· Loading and delivering materials

· Use a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders and saws.

· Maintain a clean work environment and safe handling of material.

Requirements

· Must have physical strength

· Hand-eye coordination

· Endurance

· Must also be able to concentrate on their tasks.
