Solid Rock Steel is seeking a skilled All-Position Welder with proven experience in architectural welding and Complete Joint Penetration welds.
The position is ideal for a welder who takes pride in clean, precise work and understands both structural integrity and visual finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all-position welding, including CJP's, both onto backing bar and without backing bar
- Use air-arc gouging process to complete CJP's and to do repairs when required
- Perform high-quality architectural welds that meet requirements beyond structural code (AESS 3/4)
- Set-up, operate, and minor maintenance of welding machines
- Work independently and as part of a fabrication team
- Read and understand weld symbols
Required Qualifications
- All-Position CWB ticket in FCAW
- Minimum 5 years as an all-position welder
- Experience with air-arc gouging
- Demonstrated experience with architectural welding
- Proven ability to perform complete joint penetration welds that are subject to Ultrasonic Examination
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable, safety-minded and punctual
- AWS welding ticket/certification is not required but would be a significant asset
