Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented General Contractor & Property Maintenance Manager to handle our personal family residences as well as rental properties. The candidate will lead our construction & facilities management team in maintaining the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our residential single family homes. This pivotal role involves overseeing all maintenance operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring that all systems—from electrical to floor cleaning —operate seamlessly. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in residential maintenance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Would expected to have skills to handle smaller tasks themselves.
- Handle the all property upkeep and maintiance needs of personal property including upgrade/repair of plumbing, electricial, cleaning, sanitation, lawn upkeep, and all aspects including Handyman work
- For smaller tasks needs to be able to handle those by himself
- For larger complex project will need find correct sub-contractors, hire and direclty oversee the work
- Lead and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across all property systems.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical wiring—including high voltage and low voltage systems—and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Conduct inspections of the property’s infrastructure, including fencing, roofing, plumbing, and electrical systems, identifying issues before they escalate.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and asset management to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Find sub-contractor to hire to for specialized work
- Proven management experience supervising maintenance teams within Residential Single Family Homes
- Experience doing home repair or Handyman related work
- Experience hiring sub-contractors to complete complex jobs on time and on budget
- Extensive knowledge of residential house management practices including HVAC systems, electrical systems (low voltage, smart home), mechanical systems, and maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with schematics reading for permitting, ohmmeters for electrical testing, etc.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Including overseeing work quality of sub-contractors.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
