Overview
We are seeking an Architect or qualified Designer to design and prepare our new store in Victoria, British Columbia. The main purpose of this role is to create the full store layout following the franchise manual and all brand requirements. The professional will ensure that the physical space, visual elements, and customer flow match the official standards of the franchise.
- Study and interpret the franchise manual to design a complete store layout that follows every required standard.
- Develop interior plans that include circulation, product display zones, storage areas, lighting placement, furniture selection, and material finishes.
- Prepare drawings, layouts, and visual proposals that align with the franchise brand identity.
- Work closely with the franchise team to confirm all design elements, materials, and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal staff to ensure that the construction and setup match the approved design.
- Oversee the installation of visual merchandising elements to ensure a consistent customer experience.
- Provide clear documentation of the design process and regular progress updates.
- Ensure that the final space meets all franchise guidelines before opening.
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design field.
- Proven experience designing retail spaces or commercial environments.
- Ability to read and produce architectural drawings and technical plans.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, and layout planning.
- Experience working with franchise guidelines is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- This is a temporary position focused on designing and setting up the space before the store opens.
- The role may require site visits, coordination meetings, and work within specific project timelines.
