Primary Purpose
Serves as a client contact for strategic staffing and human resources issues, products and services. Functions as a technical expert to clients on human resources related matters including: recruiting and staffing, benefits, HRIS, performance management, career development, organizational development, salary administration and employee relations and employment/labor law. Uses human resources expertise, creativity, and innovation to find unique ways to resolve client business issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources:
Collaborates with local community relations and partners with external affairs to meet tax abatement and other local obligations through various community programs. Hosts community events to promote the company and job opportunities. Other responsibilities include: organizational realignment, development & communication of Affirmative Action Plans, management and employee programs (such as training, development, and compliance awareness). Researches, develops, establishes and implements multi-state and international HR policy, practice, and procedures. Coordinates and collaborates with the corporate center on shared projects such as new employee orientation.
Acts as subject-matter expert for employee performance management, performance appraisal process, separations and terminations, discipline matters, employee/labor laws, and the coordination of leaves of absence through a third-party administrator.
Recruiting and staffing process:
Manages LNG specific Sourcing strategies, participates in local job fairs, prescreens and interviews candidates, and negotiates and creates competitive offer packages. Oversees the DOT testing for facility. Creates and delivers staffing metrics for projects. Manages external recruiters (negotiates contingency search and other recruiting related contracts), EEO/AAP goals, narratives and quarterly updates. Works with others on Talent Acquisition team for immigration compliance including visas. Manages Mobility Services contract and services.
Works with management and compensation on the following:
Annual and off-cycle salary administration, employee recognition programs, job evaluations, and EEO salary analysis.
Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience
8+ years of extensive work experience in Human Resources required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of company operations; knowledge of state and federal employment/human resources law. Knowledge of international HR practices.
Must be proficient in HRIS and mainframe applications.
Must be able to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures and personalities. Must be effective at promoting collaborative cross-functional working relationships.
Must convey a strong sense of direction and have the ability to motivate and coach others to perform at their highest level.
Must be an effective communicator and able to communicate information in a clear, concise and tactful manner.
Must be proficient at managing multiple priorities and accomplishing simultaneous demands in a high-pressure environment.
Understanding laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources. Must excel at analyzing complex problems, issues and data to provide innovative human resources solutions.
Licenses and Certifications
SHRM or related certification preferred.
