Summary: Drives truck with a capacity of more than 25 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

- Actively participate in Seaport Steel's safety program.
- Check boards for loads
- Inspect truck
- Inspect material ensuring it matches shipping paperwork
- Decide if the load is road ready
- Adjust load for safety and availability
- Secure load
- Deliver and pick up material based on the routing
- Uses time efficiently.
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Completes work in a timely manner.

Education/Experience
- CDL Class A driver’s license and completed truck driving courses with a certificate of completion with at least two-year related experiences and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Math Ability
- Ability to add and subtract and read a tape measure
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Eroad™ software or the wiliness to learn.
