Schwob Energy Services is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Civil Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of energy infrastructure projects. This role is essential in ensuring that all civil aspects of our energy projects are thoroughly scoped, coordinated, and ready for execution. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of site development in various energy environments, including renewable energy, industrial, and utility-scale projects.
- Provide technical input for civil bid packages, including material specifications for aggregates, concrete, and geosynthetics.
- Support the procurement team by providing technical input on civil materials and subcontractor qualifications.
- Assist procurement in evaluating civil subcontractors and suppliers based on technical expertise and past performance.
- Review vendor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support during bid preparation, including quantity takeoffs, preliminary schedules, and risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable sourcing of materials.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement sourcing strategies for critical materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier agreements.
- 2+ years of experience in civil construction or pre-construction planning.
- Strong understanding of energy facility layouts, pipeline routing, and site development best practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procure, and Project scheduling tools.
