Saturn has an opportunity for a
4 , 8, or 12-month Facilities Engineering Studentbased in the
Calgary, Albertaoffice starting May 2026. Reporting to the Team Lead, Facilities Engineering, the Facilities Engineering Student will collaborate with the technical teams as a support on operational and engineering matters.
Some specific duties, and responsibilities of the Engineering Student include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the facility engineering team with project related activities, such as project scoping, design and drawing development, cost estimating, scheduling, licensing, procurement, and construction support
- Complete pipeline hydraulics and process modelling
- Execute small Management of Change (MOC) projecs
- Support facilities emission reporting by updating equipment databases, gathering reporting data, and preparing emissions calculations
- Travel to field locations as necessary
Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s and co-op/internship program, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum/Energy
- Able to commence the internship in May 2026
- If applicable, the student must be willing to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the term
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and contribute
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset but not mandatory
