This role is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, maintenance of employee payroll data, and serving as the point of contact for payroll inquires and issues across multiple companies and locations
- Payroll processing: review of timesheets, entry of payroll data, processing of deductions, and setting up direct deposits on a weekly basis.
- Data management: Update and maintain confidential employee records, including personal information, pay rates, benefit deductions, child support deductions, and garnishments.
- Taxes: Process and file federal and state taxes, including quarterly and year end tax forms.
- Issue resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in time sheets or paychecks. Handle employee questions and provide support regarding payroll and benefits.
- High school diploma a must; degree in Accounting or Business a plus.
- Proven experience in payroll administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with employees.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
