Job Description

The External Relations Representative is essential in sustaining and strengthening CC&V’s social license to operate. This role builds and nurtures meaningful relationships with local stakeholders while delivering programs that advance CC&V’s External Relations Strategy.

Day To Day Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

- Cultivate and sustain relationships with community stakeholders as the liaison for operational activities.

- Participate in and support community investment and development programs.

- Support advertising, social media, and marketing activities.

- Support External Relations consultants and contractors.

- Participate in and represent CC&V at select events and community functions.

- Plan, coordinate, and execute high-quality events that foster meaningful community engagement.

Strategy & Implementation

- Support the advancement of sustainable mining practices in alignment with SSR Mining’s standards.

- Support execution of CC&V’s business plan by delivering on objectives and tracking progress toward public and internal ESG targets.

- Integrate social responsibility elements into the site’s risk management system.

- Maintain records, filing systems, and databases in compliance with company policies.

Is This You??

- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Communications, Public Relations, Public Policy or related field preferred.

- Mining experience preferred.

- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities on a regular basis.

Working Conditions & Environment

- This is an in-person office position based in Victor, Colorado.

- The schedule for this role is 4 days on/3 days off, 10-hour shifts, with the ability to alter work schedule when required and provide occasional on-call availability.

- Must be able to work at high altitude.

- Must hold a valid vehicle driver’s license.

For applicants residing in CO, the hourly range for this role is from $30.16/hr. to $32.33/hr. Benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, STI and LTI.
