Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This vital role is responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining compliance with applicable standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate and non-profit accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software platforms. Your expertise will help streamline financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and produce precise financial reports that inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and record journal entries, perform general ledger accounting, and conduct balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Utilize multiple accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken to maintain detailed financial records.
- Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify the integrity of financial data across various ledgers.
- Oversee governmental accounting requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations for non-profit or public sector entities.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to support management’s strategic planning.
- Assist with budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and tax preparation activities while maintaining meticulous documentation of all transactions.
- Perform double entry bookkeeping by recording debits & credits accurately within the general ledger system.
- Conduct regular internal audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role within corporate or non-profit organizations.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP and technical accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other relevant financial tools.
- Strong understanding of governmental accounting practices and tax regulations related to non-profit entities is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management efficiently.
- Familiarity with payroll processing systems and 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy.
- Experience with budgeting processes and financial report writing to support organizational goals.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
