Job Description
The Welder position is responsible for Prep and Execution of welding needed in order to create a finished product. All welding processes including MIG, TIG, and Stick are used. Welders are also Required to Fit and Fabricate as needed before carrying out the welding process. Pay will be based on total welding experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine positions of welds
- Prepare work area where welding is to be performed
- Perform final prep work by removing any remaining material from areas to be welded
- Set up welds on all types of parts according to drawings and specifications
- Inspect finished products for defects and accept or reject them as the case may be
- Maintain a clean job site by picking up trash from areas each day
- Performs other job related duties as assigned by your manager or supervisor
Requirements
- Ability to read instructions in English accurately and thoroughly – must be able to follow written instructions with attention and care
- Ability to follow detailed oral instructions – must be able to read blueprints, drawings, or schematics – must be familiar with various tools used in manufacturing processes
Experience: Welding experience (preferred)
·Previous experience using various hand tools including but not limited to welders, squares, plasma cutter, grinders, hammers, etc.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
