MUST HAVE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
The position reports directly to the Crew Leadman and Field Operations Supervisor for the operation and maintenance of utility storage, pumping facilities, and distribution system. Duties include assisting in water line repairs, assisting with metering services, assisting with locating water lines, and assisting with maintaining required reports for the operational control of the distribution system.
- Performs mechanical tasks in the repair, adjustment, and maintenance of the Pump Stations and Distribution System.
- Assists with regular inspections, performs preventative maintenance on equipment, and turns in documentation to the office on such.
- Assists with installing new water lines and meters for customer service.
- Reports and repairs line breaks in a timely manner.
- Investigates leaks and makes repairs as necessary.
- Must be able to use hand tools and power tools.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be available on call 24 hours as scheduled by the Operations Foreman.
- Maintenance of all facilities.
- Submit accurate time reports to the Operations Foreman as directed.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather.
- Must work well with fellow employees and contractors.
- Must be able to take directions from supervisors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to obtain “D” water license within first year of employment.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintains operational/equipment logs and records.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to keep vehicles and work areas clean and orderly.
- Maintain adequate inventory of materials on hand.
