RECON is seeking multiple Wireline Operators for a seasonal 15/6 rotational position. The expected timeframe for work is Mid-December to Mid March; however it may be extended based on activity level. The Operator will be working on a camp-based project in the Oilsands region of Alberta, rotating back to Edmonton for days off. Ideally, we seek Operators who are local to our shop allowing for easy crew rotation and relief. RECON Wireline Operators – Open Hole are responsible for performing tasks such as route planning and preparation, rigging in/out, maintenance of tools, equipment, and Wireline units. The operator must hold a Class 3 License and have a familiarity with wireline operation, preferably Open Hole.
- Drive any assigned single or dual axle company vehicle
- Load / Unload, Rig in / Rig out and maintain all logging tools associated with activity
- Help assemble any tools under supervision
- Help keep the truck clean, serviced, inspected for defects and repaired so that lost field time and the cost of operating the vehicle is kept at a minimum
- Required to work 15 days on (24hrs on call) and 6 days off rotation with potential relief of non-camp operations during days off
- Clean Class 3 drivers license (Automatic) and standard oilfield safety tickets
- WHIMS, CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid
- 1-5 years minimum wireline logging experience, preferably in Open Hole
- Physically fit
- Mechanically inclined to service and maintain Logging Units and tools
- Adhere to all company and industry safety regulations and procedures
- Familiarity with ELD logbook software (Motive Specific)
- 15/6 Rotation – Camp Based for 15 days on
- Day Rate in Camp
