CPM Scheduler – Construction Scheduling & ClaimsLocation: DMV (Hybrid / Regional Projects) Employment Type: Contract to Full‑Time | Professional Services
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduler to provide owner‑side scheduling, delay analysis, and claims support for large, complex capital construction projects. This role focuses on independent CPM schedule review, analysis, and reporting, with opportunities to support dispute resolution and expert services on public sector projects.
- Review and analyze contractor baseline and monthly CPM schedules for compliance, accuracy, and logic
- Evaluate critical and near‑critical paths, float, sequencing, and schedule risk
- Prepare clear monthly narrative reports summarizing progress, delays, impacts, and deficiencies
- Perform schedule impact and delay analyses (e.g., Time Impact Analysis, forensic CPM reviews)
- Support claims evaluation, negotiations, mediation, and dispute resolution
- Develop defensible CPM analyses and exhibits for formal claims or litigation
- Interface with owners, project managers, contractors, and legal teams
- Work with schedules developed in Primavera P6, MS Project, and comparable platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 7+ years of CPM scheduling experience on complex construction projects (public or institutional preferred)- Strong working knowledge of CPM principles, schedule governance, and delay analysis methods
- Experience producing audit‑ready, owner‑side schedule reviews and reports
- PSP® (Planning & Scheduling Professional) – AACE
- CCM® (Certified Construction Manager)
- PMI‑SP® or other recognized CPM‑related certification
