Pioneer Rural Water District is seeking a licensed “A” Water Treatment Operator. Duties include
conducting analyses in laboratory setting, calculating chemical dosages and adding/adjusting chemical feeds, managing water influent and effluent flows, maintaining clear and accurate
records, and the operation of computers, pumps, and membrane filtration plant.
This position is full-time, requires working a 12-hour night shift 7pm to 7am, and will include holidays and weekends. The presence of certain chemicals in this facility requires attention to detail and may require the proper use of protective ware. Operators must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders. A high school diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Legible handwriting is a must.
This position requires a Water Treatment Operator “A” license issued by the State of South Carolina.
The following qualifications may award preference during the selection process:
· Possession of an Associate’s Degree or higher
· Experience in facilities maintenance, such as the repair and maintenance of pumps, motors, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
