Job Overview
Peak NDT Services is seeking a qualified NDT Level II Technician to join our team. This position involves non-destructive testing and evaluation of materials and welds across various industries. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and flexible to accommodate various work schedules.
- Conduct nondestructive testing (NDT) on materials and components using established methods.
- Perform NDT Tests using various methods including Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Document and report test results accurately and in compliance with client requirements.
- Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
- Analyze schematics and technical documents to determine appropriate testing procedures.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively during testing processes.
- Document test results accurately and prepare detailed reports for review.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the NDT industry.
- At least 1 year of experience as a certified Level II Technician in RT, MT, or PT.
- Experience in VT and UT is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Current certifications in RT, MT, or PT.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, nights, and long-hour shifts as required.
- Proficiency with computers, including email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to adapt to company-specific software.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, JLG lifts, ditches, and trenches.
