We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support and optimize our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in developing standardized processes, improving product quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and a collaborative mindset.
- Ensure a safe working environment by strictly adhering to all safety policies and proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
- Regularly work in production facilities, with occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particulate matter, toxic or caustic chemicals, and potential radiation hazards.
- Develop and implement standardized work practices to reduce process variability and maintain capacity and stability.
- Apply engineering principles and problem-solving methodologies to identify and resolve process inefficiencies and production issues.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality enhancement, and cost reduction.
- Conduct equipment utilization and capability studies to aid in effective capacity planning and process optimization.
- Perform production trials and testing to validate operational controls and performance standards.
- Deliver training on Statistical Process Control (SPC) to promote data-driven decision-making across production teams.
- Provide technical support to internal departments and customers, including resolution of production-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct internal process audits to evaluate compliance with customer expectations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on projects and process enhancements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet department and organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field preferred).
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience leading teams or initiatives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong strategic business acumen with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficient in data analysis, charting, and use of statistical tools such as SPC and root cause analysis techniques.
- Experienced in using PCs and standard business software applications (e.g., MS Office, etc.).
- Solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes, from order intake to final shipment.
- Must be able to read, write, sit, talk, and hear frequently.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, type, and handle objects or controls.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision and ability to view computer screens.
