At all Pepco Fleet garage locations: Purchasing, receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing tools and general supplies to vehicle maintenance repair staff; organizing related records; maintaining inventory control; preparing requisitions and material requests according to established Exelon procedures; assisting the Fleet department in obtaining price quotes for parts, tools, and equipment
1. Receives, inspects, stores and issues tools and general supplies to vehicle maintenance staff for the purpose of ensuring the availability of and providing tools and supplies as needed.
2. Maintains inventory of tools, equipment, general supplies, and parts for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items as needed, preparing inventory reports and/or reconciling discrepancies in inventory.
3. Conducts periodic inventory reconciliations, calculates, and maintains min/max levels and participates in audit activities as needed.
4. Inspects tools and equipment for defects or damage upon receipt for the purpose of identifying defective items for repair or replacement as appropriate.
5. Assists in determining maximum inventory levels and reorder stages for vehicle maintenance tools, equipment parts and general supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment and supplies within budgetary constraints.
6. Labels items with identifying codes for the purpose of limiting loss and/or improving the opportunity for recovery of items.
7. Initiates stock and non-stock requisitions for replenishment of related items for the purpose of ensuring adequate supplies to meet the company’s needs.
8. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. inventory, price quotes, vendor contacts, purchase orders, warranty records, fuel consumption records, preventive maintenance and repair costs, cost per mile reports, department billings, tool and equipment catalogs, safety bulletins, specifications, manuals, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or providing materials and reliable resource information.
9. Maintains tool and parts room in a safe, secure, orderly, and clean condition for the purpose of ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
10. Participates in a variety of technical and administrative duties related developing supply and equipment specifications for the purpose of ensuring inventory meets company needs. 11. Operates standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications including Microsoft Office and preparing and maintaining accurate records
General oversight of parts inventory, purchasing, organization, reconciliation and transport within Pepco Fleet Garages
1. Experience demonstrating skill receiving, identifying, locating, ordering, purchasing, and issuing stock and non-stock vehicle and construction equipment parts and supplies for repair and support of fleet vehicles and equipment (for example, tools and/or parts).
2. Experience demonstrating skill driving/operating forklifts and delivery trucks.
3. Experience performing general housekeeping functions (for example, sweeping, removing older/deteriorating stock).
4. Experience demonstrating skills processing invoices in a timely manner and following company policy regarding invoice processing.
5. Ability and willingness to travel and work at various PHI locations.
6. Ability and willingness to work shift work, including during emergencies working overtime, weekends, holidays as required.
7. Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment.
8. Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and squatting).
9. Ability and willingness performing a second role in accordance with PHI's Emergency Preparedness Guidelines for all employees.
10. Ability and willingness to comply with Federal, State, local and company safety requirements.
12. Must have at least five (5) years' experience in the automotive (Medium– Heavy Truck / Construction equipment) warehouse/storeroom environment or other training or experience equally acceptable to the Company and must be able to demonstrate abilities to the Company’s satisfaction.
13. Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check which consists of criminal records check for felony convictions.
14. Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test
