We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drilling/Completions Records Analyst to join our team. This individual will be responsible for tracking new wells (“spuds”) as received by our various clients/operators participating in the Well Data Exchange (WDX) platform throughout the drill cycle. The role will ensure all drilling and completion reports are complete and up to date thereby assuring all partner data requests are fulfilled timely and accurately. This role involves analyzing drilling/completion data, maintaining documentation, and ensuring all partner data requests are fulfilled timely and accurately. If well data is lacking, they will spearhead the effort to collect said data with operators, vendors, and internal/external personnel.
· Monitor new well spuds added to the WDX platform
· Review each well file to confirm all required drilling reports and documents are provided
· Identify missing documentation and reach out to operators/clients to request
· Work closely with PDS internal personnel to ensure complete and accurate document packages are submitted for upload
· Assist partners in obtaining missing non-operated data from operators
· Maintain organized records of requests, follow-ups, and received documents
· Communicate clearly and professionally with operators, clients, and internal teams
- Research well files, maintain various databases and spreadsheets, solve moderately complex problems independently using skill and judgment, and perform other duties as required.
- Coordinate with outside geologists, mud engineers, directional drillers, and service providers to complete well records in a timely manner.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, or a related field (or relevant field experience).
- Strong understanding of drilling and completion operations, rig components, and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in drilling software (WellView, OpenWells, Landmark, WellEz or equivalent).
- Advanced MS Excel experience required for managing and analyzing large data sets.
- Ability to interpret well logs, drilling parameters, and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- 1–5 years of experience in drilling, well servicing, or related oilfield operations preferred.
